Brazil supports US Clean Network proposal

The Brazilian government announced it supports the US Clean Network proposal to create a global digital alliance that excludes technologies believed to be manipulated by China, reports Reuters. The endorsement came during a visit by Keith Krach, US Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and Environment, who advised Brazil not to purchase 5G network equipment from China's Huawei Technologies, which he classified as "the backbone of China's global surveillance".
