Brazilian 4G data roaming for Confederations Cup unlikely

During the launch of Oi's 4G service, the director of the network of the operator, Luis Alveirinho, said there would be no data roaming for 4G during the Confederations Cup, since none of the mobile operators has negotiated agreements with international operators. As a result, the official data roaming is likely to be 3G or 3G HSPA. For his part, the CEO of Vivo, Paulo Cesar Teixeira, told local media it is negotiating with international operators to have some kind of arrangement in time for the Confederations Cup, but he did not name them,
