Brazilian government concerned over Oi Movel sale

Thursday 2 September 2021 | 16:13 CET | News
The Brazilian government expressed concern about the impact the sale of Oi's mobile network to rivals TIM, Claro and Vivo may have on competition and referred the case to the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) to investigate, reports Folha de Sao Paulo. The information was included in an official response sent to questions made by MP Elias Vaz, who suggested that the Ministry of Communications establish an administrative procedure with Anatel to investigate the possibility of disruption to the economic order and damage to end-users.
