Brazil's Sercomtel plans to lay off 50% of staff

Brazilian regional operator Sercomtel has announced a proposal for a voluntary layoff plan that will be presented to all 456 employees, reports Folha de Londrina. The plan aims to reduce the company's workforce by 50 percent. The process is part of the strategic planning of the new management of the operator, which was privatized last year.
