Breko calls for open access regulations in final EU trilogue negotiations for ECC

German broadband association Breko has called on EU institutions to prioritize open access regulations to incentivize the roll-out of broadband in Germany and Europe as the parties enter the final trilogue negotiations on the European Electronic Communications Code (ECC). Negotiating parties should rebuff incumbent operator calls for a complete or partial roll-back of regulations, according to Breko, saying that this would lead to a reduction in competition and higher prices for customers.
