Breko issues call for regional allocation of 5G licenses, MVNO obligations

The German broadband association Breko said it is in favour of the regional allocation of frequencies for the 5G mobile standard as well as obligations for service-providers and MVNOs for the future license holders of 5G frequencies, arguing that these procedures will increase competition on the mobile market as well as the diversity of 5G products and service providers. The regional allocation of frequencies will also enable network operators to offer regional business and private customers tailored mobile products and services and build up modern fibre networks with air interfaces.
