Broadband Forum completes work on FTTdp management

The Broadband Forum has announced the completion of its work on the management of Fibre to the Distribution Point (FTTdp) at its quarterly meeting in Mexico. The association agreed that the FTTdp YANG management model was ready for release exclusively to members for testing in network equipment. This is the Forum's first software project written in the YANG modelling language, helping to drive open interoperability between different devices and moving the management of FTTdp from the drawing board into the network. As a result, service providers can now offer competitive ultrafast services
