Broadband points becomes mandatory in new Flanders homes

Homes under construction in Flanders will only be granted construction permits if their project includes infrastructure for broadband internet. The decision will apply to applications submitted after 31 December 2016 and follows a European directive looking to reduce the cost of building high-speed communication networks. The State Council still has to give its opinion about the decision.
