BSkyB to end up owning 69% of Sky Deutschland

BSkyB has announced that it will end up acquiring at least 68.8 percent of Sky Deutschland when the takeover period closes after more investors than expected signed up for its EUR 6.75 per share offer. In July BSkyB agreed to pay GBP 2.9 billion for Fox's 57.4 percent stake in Sky Deutschland, as well as taking full control of Sky Italia for GBP 2.45 billion. However, BSkyB has now revealed that the combination of the acceptances received during the initial acceptance period and the 21st Century Fox stake would result in it acquiring a minimum of 68.8 percent of the total share capital of Sky
