BT aims to be all-IP by 2025

BT revealed in its quarterly results that by 2025 all of its customers will be using IP Voice, writes Matthew Townend on his blog. Townend refers to a speech by Group CEO Gavin Patterson in a BT online video in which he envisages that the group will be operating a single IP core network that will replace all legacy networks and platforms. All BT customers will benefit from a ubiquitious experience on all devices, indoors and out, using the BT-EE mobile network and an expanded fixed IP network.
