BT CEO accuses rivals of 'crying over spilled milk'

BT CEO Gavin Patterson has accused rivals of 'crying over spilled milk' with complaints about its proposed acquisition of EE and calls for BT to be broken up. In a TV interview with CNBC, Patterson said that calls for a break-up of the company were 'frustrating' and insisted that any break-up or blocking of the EE deal would be damaging to the UK economy. He added that any investment made by BT is open to everyone, with everyone able to use BT fibre on an equivalent basis.
