BT chooses JDSU for IPTV test system upgrade

US network test equipment provider JDSU has been selected by BT to upgrade the existing JDSU xDSL test system by adding the IPTV option for the centralised delivery, maintenance and troubleshooting of broadband customers' multicast services. The new equipment will help ensure the reliabile delivery of BT Sport channels over the carrier's IPTV service. The new system provides proactive measurement and monitoring of the accumulated effects of video based on viewing habits, channel changing loads and customer requests for VoD.
