BT, Dell EMC test software-defined networks

Thursday 17 August 2017 | 09:09 CET | News
BT and Dell EMC have announced a research partnership to research software-defined networks of the future as a new way of managing network traffic. The proof-of-concept trial will examine how disaggregated switching can create flexible networks which are more responsive to the needs of customers by using standard open network switches commonly found in data centres, combined with specialist switching software. The trial is being conducted at the BT Labs R&D unit in Adastral Park, Ipswich.
