BT director Cheshire interested in chairman role

Ian Cheshire, the former chair of Barclays Bank UK, has expressed interest in becoming the new chairman of BT. In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, he said "it's not a state secret that I will put my hand up". Cheshire was appointed to the board of BT a year ago as an independent director and is also the chairman of Spire Healthcare.
