BT hits snag in urgent search for new auditor - report

BT wants to appoint a new auditor to replace PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as quickly as possible but is being hampered by the accountancy profession's rules insisting on a cooling-off period between appointments, Sky News reported. Sky did not reveal its source, but said Nick Rose, chair of BT's audit committee, wrote last week to the UK's accounting watchdog to say he had lost confidence in PwC and wanted to make a quick change.
