BT, industry respond to MPs report

BT said it was disappointed by a report from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) which said it was 'significantly under investing' in its network arm Openreach and should face structural separation if it does not commit to remedying the shortfall. BT said it was disappointing to be criticised after having invested more than GBP 1 billion a year in infrastructure when the UK was emerging from recession and rival companies invested little. BT stressed that Openreach investment is 30 percent higher than it was two years ago and will grow again in 2016. BT said it was in talks
