BT names first chairman at Openreach

BT is moving ahead with plans to increase independent governance at its wholesale arm Openreach and named Mike McTighe as the first Chairman of Openreach. McTighe, who takes up his role from January, spent eight years on the board of UK regulator Ofcom. He will oversee the new Openreach Board, which will start operating from early 2017.
