BT Sport amends contract terms after Ofcom intervention

BT has agreed with Ofcom to let customers who found themselves paying for a BT Sport package they did not want exit the deal. BT changed its TV sport offering on 01 August. It remains free for BT TV customers signing up for a further minimum term contract, with BT broadband-only customers having to pay GBP 5 a month for the BT Sport Pack. Alternatively, they can get BT Sport Lite for free. BT informed customers in June and July that the charge would be added to their bills from 01 August unless they contacted BT by 31 July to downgrade to BT Sport Lite or cancel.
