BT to close defined benefit scheme to managers

BT plans to close its defined benefit pension scheme to 11,000 managers, reports the Financial Times. As it looks to tackle a massive GBP 14 billion pension deficit, the company will also offer significantly lower contributions to 21,000 front-line employees, according to documents seen by the newspaper.
