Bahamas operator BTC has announced plans to inject USD 8.1 million to further upgrade its mobile network this year. The company already operates the largest mobile network in the Bahamas with four hundred towers throughout the country, but has now committed to opening new tower installations throughout New Providence, Grand Bahama and Abaco in time for the summer season. The upgrade will take in the cruise ship port in New Providence as well as indoor coverage improvements for the Atlantis resort and Lynden Pindling International Airport, said BTC in a statement.
