BTV 2 channel stops broadcasting in Portugal

The BTV 2 sports channel has stopped broadcasting in Portugal, reports Correio de Manha. The channel was distributed by pay-TV operators Meo, Vodafone and Cabovisao. Sources from Benfica TV (BTV), which owns BTV 2, said that the channel lost some TV rights for sporting events, namely the English Premier League (the rights went to Sport TV), so its existence was no longer justified.
