Bucharest to host new EU cybersecurity research centre

Romania's capital Bucharest was selected to host the European Cybersecurity Competence Center, a future hub that will distribute EU and national funding for cyber-security research projects across the EU territory. Seven other cities competed to host the centre, including Brussels, Munich, Warsaw, Vilnius, Luxembourg and Leon in Spain. Bucharest attracted more votes from diplomats than Brussels in the second round of voting, Politico.eu reported.
