Burkina Faso PM criticises Orange's tariff increase

Burkina Faso's Prime Minister, Christophe Dabire, has criticised Orange's plans to increase prices by 2.04 percent from 17 February, describing the move as "unacceptable", reports Jeune Afrique. Orange informed its customers earlier this month that it would be adjusting its voice and internet tariffs as a result of the government's 2020 Finance Act, which increased from 5 percent to 7 percent the tax levied on telecom operators' revenues.
