BVDW criticises EU data protection agreement

German online digital economy federation BVDW has criticised the EU compromise agreement on the new data protection directive. The BVDW believes that European lawmakers have failed to create modern and future-proof regulations for working with data in the 21st century. It added that as a result, the internet will be over regulated and Europe's competitiveness in the global business market severely restricted.
