California said Facebook has not provided information requested by the state in June 2019 about potential privacy violations, and namely, its relationship with Cambridge Analytica. As a result, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra has filed a petition in the San Francisco Superior Court requesting Facebook comply with the outstanding subpoenas and investigative interrogatories issued in June 2019. The state said Facebook gave inadequate responses and failed to provide, or even search for, the right documents among the communications of its senior executives.
