Call in Europe launches first social mobile rate service

US-based international mobile operator Call in Europe's French MVNO brand, Zero Forfait, has introduced the country's first mobile phone offer meeting the requirements of the government's new Social Mobile Tariff kitemark. Costing EUR 9.90 a month, the plan gives customers who are on benefits 50 minutes of calls and 50 SMS. Once this ceiling is reached, the subscriber is informed by e-mail and the operator's standard low cost rates apply. The maximum monthly bill is EUR 15, at which point the phone can only be used for incoming calls and SMS or to make emergency calls. Zero Forfait's service
