Canada opens consultation about opening up 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi

The government of Canada is inviting comments about a proposal to triple the license-exempt spectrum available for Wi-Fi. The government is thinking of achieving this by opening up the 6 GHz band, with the goal of supporting greater choice and affordability for mobile broadband. The consultation will run for 60 days, followed by a 30-day reply period.
