Canada starts hearings on mobile market competition

The Canadian regulator CRTC has started public hearings on its review of the mobile market. In an effort to boost competition, the regulator is looking at requiring network operators to open up their networks to MVNOs. Operators oppose the plan, and the Canadian Competition Bureau also questioned whether it was the most effective solution.
