Canada to postpone decision about Huawei until federal election in Oct

Canada, which is reviewing the security implications of 5G, is still looking to see if it will allow Huawei to provide 5G network equipment. However, the decision will likely not happen until after the federal election in October, Reuters reported, citing a number of sources familiar with the matter. Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale, in charge of the 5G review, said in late April that he intended to release the results to the public by the election.
