Canal Digitaal bypasses set-top box with Smart TV app

Dutch operator Canal Digitaal has made it possible for people watch TV without any receiver or set-top box. The company has released an app for smart TVs from Samsung and LG. The smart TV app gives access to linear and non-linear TV content without the intervention of a set-top box, and provides all interactive features such as Start Missed, Live TV pause, 7 days catch-up and watching on demand. The app can be downloaded from the application store for smart TVs from Samsung and LG.
