Canal Plus workers question company finances

French pay TV operator Canal Plus's works council representatives have exercised the 'right to blow the whistle' ("droit d'alerte") on the company's finances, writes AFP. Under French law, management are obliged to answer formal questions from the works council. According to Michel Valleix of labour union Libres, Canal Plus directors were sent a set of questions a few days ago and the statutory requirement to respond "in a reasonable timeframe" could be around a fortnight.
