Cape Verde sees new regulatory framework ready by year-end

The Cape Verde government wants a regulatory framework for the digital sector that is "more appropriate" to the realities of the country and that allows for faster deployment of 4G technology, reports Lusa. According to Finance Minister Olavo Correia, Cape Verde must create the conditions for broadband access at a good price and in a safe way and create the conditions for young people who want to invest in this area. He added that the regulatory framework should be approved by the end of the year. The need for urgent regulation of the sector was also defended by the heads of the two mobile
