Caribbean countries urged to promote affordable internet

Caribbean governments have been more reactive than proactive in nurturing the development of the internet to meet their countries' needs and should provide further investment incentives to improve coverage, according to a new study from the Internet Society. The report, entitled "Removing Barriers to Connectivity in the Caribbean", presents a detailed look at the region's unique set of connectivity challenges, highlighting the significant progress that has been made in recent years as well as the opportunity that exists for governments to do more.
