Carlos Slim companies buy 500 mln America Movil shares

Two companies owned by billionaire Carlos Slim acquired nearly 500 million America Movil shares in the last few months, according to a filing at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Slim's Grupo Financiero Inbursa bank and Inversora Carso holding company spent USD 416,460,382 to acquire 474,120,133 America Movil shares since their last report in August, said the filing, adding that the funds to buy the shares came from working capital at Inbursa and Inversora Carso. Slim is chairman and CEO of America Movil and its subsidiary Telmex.
