Carrefour and Google agree e-commerce partnership in France

Retail group Carrefour has announced a strategic partnership with Google, covering three main initiatives. On the e-commerce front, shoppers in France will be able to order Carrefour's products, including fresh groceries, via a new Google shopping website or with voice commands via the virtual assistant of the Google Home range. Alongside this new shopping facility, available from early 2019, Carrefour plans to collaborate with Google Cloud on R&D projects by opening an innovation laboratory in Paris this summer.
