Cartel Office examines Telekom's data throttling plans

Wednesday 15 May 2013 | 16:46 CET | News
The Federal Cartel Office is examining Deutsche Telekom's plans to impose data limits on its fixed-line DSL broadband customers, reports German newspaper 'Handelsblatt'. The Cartel Office is understood to be concerned by plans to exclude Telekom's own services such as Entertain from the data limits, to the detriment of rival services. The Cartel Office President Andreas Mundt confirmed that it was taking a closer look at the plans, adding that it wrote to Telekom at start-May asking questions about its plans.
