Alcatel-Lucent's executive vice president for corporate restructuring, Stephen Carter, has told staff he will officially leave the company at the end of April but will work on special projects this summer, people familiar with the situation told the Financial Times. The move predates the appointment of Michel Combes as CEO, effective 2 April, as Carter had agreed with outgoing CEO Ben Verwaayen to move back to London in April at the conclusion of the first phase of the group's restructuring process.
