CCS supplies Metnet platform for 5G Smart Tourism testbed

Cambridge Communication Systems (CCS) said that its Metnet 12 Gbps unlicensed 60Ghz mmWave backhaul platform has been selected to deliver superfast wireless backhaul for the 5G Smart Tourism testbed to be delivered in Bath and Bristol, led by the West of England Combined Authority. 

The Metnet platform will be used to power enhanced visual experiences for tourists using AR and VR technology at major attractions in the two cities. Other 5G Smart Tourism project members include BT, Zeetta, InterDigital and Bristol Is Open.
