CDP increases Telecom Italia stake to over 7%

Italian state lender CDP further increased its stake in Telecom Italia (TIM) to over 7 percent in the days since it passed the 5 percent threshold. In an SEC filing, the lender confirmed that it had 7.1 percent of TIM's voting capital as of 18 February. Last month its board approved the acquisition of more shares on top of the 4.9 percent it already owned depending on the content of the business plan revealed by TIM CEO Luigi Gubitosi on 22 February.
