Cell C in talks with Facebook over deal

South African mobile communications operator Cell C is finalising a deal with Facebook and will announce the details in the coming months, according to CEO Jose Dos Santos. MyBroadband said industry speculation is that Cell C wants to introduce zero-rated Facebook access, meaning subscribers would not have to pay for data used on Facebook. A spokesperson for Cell C said they are excited about the deal, but could not say more at this stage.
