Cell C reports FY net loss of ZAR 8 bln amid impairments but says turnaround strategy progresses

South African operator Cell C has reported a net loss of ZAR 8.03 billion for the year ended 31 May compared with a net loss of ZAR 656 million in 2018. Service revenue was up by 4 percent to ZAR 14.2 billion from ZAR 13.5 billion in 2018. EBITDA decreased by 19 percent to ZAR 3.39 billion from ZAR 4.18 billion in 2018 due to the expanded network roaming agreement with MTN.
