Central African countries to pool cybersecurity resources

The ICT ministers of Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CAEMC) countries have recommended at a sub-regional forum on cybersecurity in Yaounde, Cameroon, at the end of February that a cyber protection centre and team be formed by the end of the year. Agence Ecofin reports that other measures planned for this year include opening cybercrime and cyber terrorism departments at the sub-region's universities and specialised academies, establishing national and regional strategies to protect critical infrastructures, drafting and applying cybersecurity policies, fighting cybercrime and
