Chan Zuckerberg Initiative buys AI start-up Meta

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) acquired an AI start-up called Meta, writes Recode.net. This is the first acquisition made by Facebook founder and his wife' initiative whose aim is to give away half of their money, USD 3 billion, to eradicate all diseases by the end of the century. The firm's software helps scientists read, understand and prioritise millions of scientific papers and will be eventually offered for free by CZI.
