Charter loses Tribune channels after distribution talks fail

Customers of US cable operator Charter Communications are unable to receive channels from Tribune Broadcasting since 02 January, after the companies were unable to reach agreement on a new carriage deal. This means around 6 million Spectrum customers no longer have access to the local news and programming provided by 33 Tribune stations in Charter's footprint, and the entire 14 million customers of Charter lose Tribune's national channel WGN America.
