Charter to launch Apple HomeKit-enabled router later this year

Charter Communications confirmed that it's the first ISP to work with Apple to deliver a more secure online experience for customers using accessories connected via the Apple HomeKit smart home framework. The US operator said it will be supporting HomeKit as part of its own Spectrum Connectivity Platform later this year to offer enhanced security and privacy to Apple customers, as well as an easier process to onboard certified consumer devices to the home network.
