A New York City Judge has ruled that Charter Communications will have to return to court and face accusations by the New York attorney general that it provided slower than advertised internet speeds, Reuters reported. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman had accused the operator of systematically short-changing subscribers. Charter countered, saying Schneiderman did not provide sufficient grounds for its accusations. The judge for the Supreme Court in Manhattan ruled against Charter in this matter, and also rejected Charter's claim that federal law pre-empted the lawsuit.
