Chilean operators activate 'solidarity plan' during Covid-19 emergency

Monday 30 March 2020 | 12:05 CET | News
Chile's Transport and Telecommunications Ministry MTT has reached an agreement with industry body Atelmo to ensure that users of mobile and fixed line services remain connected during the coronavirus emergency even if they're unable to pay their monthly invoice. Under the 'Plan Solidario' signed with Atelmo's member companies Movistar (Telefonica), Entel, Claro (America Movil), VTR and Grupo GTD, starting 01 April any user unable to keep up to date with payments for reasons of force majeure can access a free 60-day emergency bundle depending on their plan.
