Chilean regulator sets up innovation and development unit

Chilean communications regulator Subtel has announced the creation of a public-private Telecommunications Innovation and Development Unit, tasked with helping the country's digital industry create a new telecom white paper for the next 25 years. "With this Innovation and Development Unit, Subtel is looking to take a leading role in the discussions over the future of telecommunications in this country," said Subtel head and undersecretary of telecommunications Rodrigo Ramirez.
