Chilean senate approves deal to scrap Argentina roaming charges

The Chilean senate has approved a trade agreement with Argentina that includes a commitment to remove roaming charges between the two countries by 2020, reports Publimetro. The approval comes after Chile's telecommunications undersecretary Pamela Gidi met Silvana Myriam Giudici, the head of Argentina's communications regulator Enacom Silvana Myriam Giudici in May to give the final go ahead for the elimination of international roaming charges between the neighbouring countries.
