Chile's antitrust court delays spectrum hearings

Friday 26 April 2019 | 10:39 CET | News
Chile's antitrust court (TDLC - Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia) has decided to postpone hearings on two longstanding cases over spectrum allocations, reports business daily Diario Financiero. A meeting between the TDLC and the country's regulator Subtel over spectrum holding caps was due to take place on 22 April but has now been postponed until 27 May after appeals were lodged by Entel, Claro (America Movil) and Movistar (Telefonica) against a Supreme Court judgment ordering the operators to return the spectrum secured in the 700MHz band tender in 2014.
